As you may know, your credit score will affect many of the things you are able to do in life. The world economy is becoming increasingly dependant on the availability, use, and payback of credit borrowed. In this world economy, you will need to procure a good credit score. So, just how does one procure a good credit score? Here are some things to help you to this.
Firstly, you will need to actually establish a credit history in order to have a credit score. You can achieve this by acquiring bills and credit in your name. You won’t be able to get much without a credit score already but there are credit cards you can get that are designed to help you establish a credit history, or if you are a student there are credit lines and credit cards you can get for students.
You can also try getting a cell phone or phone bill in your name. By paying your bills, you will create a credit history, this will take about 3-6 months however for the companies to start reporting on your actually bill payments, and it will need to be a good report. If you do not pay your bills on time or at least make the minimum payments you will find that you will have created a bad credit report.
Once you have a credit history, a good credit history, established you will need to keep it in good standing. You can do this by paying all your bills on time and paying at least the minimum amounts required. If you do this, your score will continue to rise and will not go into a bad level.
With this good credit score you will be able to get a house loan (provided you have sufficient funding), a car loan, schooling funding, vacation loans, pay day advances, whatever you need.
So, why do I get these things if I have a good credit score? Well, because if a company sees that you are a good responsible consumer, they will be able to trust you enough to loan you the money, feeling that you will pay in back on time, with the interest attached to the borrowing, this way they feel they will be making a profit off of you. This is what every company wants, to profit from their consumers.
So, if you follow these tips, you are sure to create and continue having a good credit score.
