What are credit scores?

Credit scores are calculated through the credit report via computations and processes through software. These numbers range from 300 to 850 with the lower scores being the worst and the also comprise of payment history of the debtors. These payment details include late fines and penalties, if the debt has been pulled, duration for clearing pending dues, previous loans taken by debtors and various other factors.

To keep a regular check on your credit reports there are certain other documents which should be kept handy like credit reports from different bureaus, bills and receipts for the cleared debts, etc. Credit reports help in updating the last payments made, clearance of previous debts and dues.

You can effectively repair the damage to the credit score and report by disputing these errors and also launching a formal complaint to the crediting bureau. This can be done by making a copy of the incorrect credit report and a copy of the receipt for the payment made. This would help you to keep a note of all the problems with your credit scores or reports.

It has been seen that effective credit repair can be done by reporting these errors to the credit bureau. As per the laws the bureau has to rectify these errors and send a new credit report to the consumer within 30 days. The process ensures effective repair of the credit instantly and thus you can repair your credit. Some of the other effective measures or repairing the credit scores include debt consolidation loans, debt settlement, and of course, the timely payments of bills and dues.
