You might be working hard to keep your credit clean. But you may not know that without your knowledge someone is using your identity details to indulge into fraud activities. This is called identity theft. Someone might be using your name to avail a credit card and use it indiscriminately and you end up getting bills running into thousand of dollars and that too for expenses that you have never incurred. It will be tough task for you to convince the credit company that you are not responsible for the incident. People who indulge in such crimes can also go to the extent of opening back accounts with your name and will also commit crimes using such identities.
