There is a large number of identity theft instances reported each day. It is thus important to pay a closer attention at what identity theft is all about and know the preventive measures to keep this type of theft at bay. Identity theft is the crime which takes place when someone steals the personal details, generally the name, address credit or bank account numbers and the social security number. Once the thieves are equipped with this information, they can easily apply to use the credit of the victim and ruin all the credit score along with the personal economic reputation. The saddest part about identity theft is that an individual does not generally know its all taking place till the time his or her credit is in jeopardy.
