Innocent people are being put behind bars for crimes being committed by others. Your only fault is that someone is using your name. The US Federal Trade Commission conducted a study in September 2003 and nearly 10 million people were victims of identity fraud. To make it worse they discovered it after a year.
It is very important to protect yourself against such white collared crimes because the criminal in this case is unknown. It can be anyone including your old friend or a relative who is trying to settle a score with you. Identity theft generally leads to two types of fraudulent activities: financial and criminal.
